Terms and Conditions
General terms and conditions for LinBike’s bicycle users. Effective from March 1st, 2021 and until further notice.
The Provider: Dukaten Parkeringsservice AB, corporate identity number 559024-8331, Åsbjörnsgatan 3, 582 78 Linköping, Sweden.
The Service: LinBike public bicycle sharing scheme for electric bicycles. The service entails electric bicycles being made available for rent from a number of docking stations. More information about the service can be found on the Provider’s website: linbike.se.
App: The Provider’s app that documents the registration of the User, use of the Service, etc. In the app, the user creates a personal account under “My profile”.
The User: The person who accepts the terms and conditions and uses the Service. The User may be a company and its employees or an individual. Commonly referred to hereinafter as the User. For cases where a distinction is made between different types of users, users that are companies are referred to as business users, while a private person is referred to as a private user.
Rental bicycles: Electric bicycles supplied by the Provider from docking stations.
Docking stations: A location designated by the Provider for the collection and return of rental bicycles, including charging points in Linköping.
Private account: Agreements and subscriptions between the Provider and private users.
A company: A company that subscribes to a business account with the Provider.
Business account: Agreement and subscription between the Provider and a company. Companies are so-called “proud partners” and may sign up for any number of subscriptions. By subscribing to a business account, a company may allow a certain number of people to register as business users.

- General information about LinBike
The service is a rental scheme for electric bicycles where the user can sign up to a subscription for the use of rental bicycles. Using functions in the provider’s app, the user can book, collect, and pay for rental bicycles. The provider is responsible for the management of the service. When the user collects a rental bicycle from the docking station, the provider identifies that rental bicycle via information sent by the user of the app.
- Registration and approval of General Terms and Conditions
To use the service, the user must register in the app. The registration requires that the user provides certain personal information. By subscribing to a business account and the user's registration in the app, the company and their users agree to the provider's terms and conditions and personal data policy. The service is available to people over 18 years of age.
- Contract period and termination
3.1 Private users subscribe to a private subscription by registering in the app. Private subscriptions are valid until further notice with a mutual period of notice for both the provider and the private user of one (1) month. Private subscriptions begin to take effect at the point of registration in the app and are to be paid in advance. The termination of a private subscription is achieved by the private user logging in to “My Profile” in the app.
Private users agree that by commencing use of the service, the user is not able to withdraw from these general terms and conditions. In the event that the private user has not begun to use the service, he/she may withdraw from the private subscription and the general terms and conditions by contacting the provider via the private user’s login to My Profile in the app within fourteen (14) days of their approval (Right of Withdrawal).
3.2 Business subscriptions run for a twelve (12) month period with a mutual period of notice for the provider and the company of two (2) months. The termination of a business account takes place by sending an email to info@linbike.se. With a business account, business users have the right to register in the app.
3.3 The provider has the right to terminate a private subscription or a business account with a private user or a company if a user violates the general terms and conditions or otherwise abuses the service. The provider reserves the right to refuse a user registration if she/he has violated the general terms and conditions or otherwise abused the service. Upon the provider’s termination of the service due to a user’s breach of the general terms and conditions or misuse of the service, no payment already made by the company or the user will be refunded.
- Responsibilities of the User
4.1 The user must follow all applicable traffic rules while using a rental bicycle.
4.2 Rental bicycles are only intended for normal use as an electric bicycle and the user may only use the rental bicycle for cycling. The use of a rental bicycle may only take place at places intended for cycling within the municipality of Linköping. The rental bicycle may not be taken outside Linköping’s municipality.
4.3 In the event of a traffic accident, the user is liable for injury and damage to themselves and any other people and property when he/she is using a rental bicycle.
4.4 The user may not use a rental bicycle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs or any other substance that impairs their ability to operate a rental bicycle in traffic.
4.5 A rental bicycle must always be collected from and returned to any docking station or site equipped with Geofence. The user must return the rental bicycle to any docking station no later than twelve (12) hours from the time it was collected by the user from the docking station. However, this does not apply if the user has a daily rental. If the user rents the bicycle for more than 12 hours, the user should keep in mind that the bicycle’s battery may require charging.
4.6 The user must contact the provider’s customer support without delay if he/she discovers significant damage to or faults with the rental bicycle.
4.7 The private user or the company is entirely responsible for the rental bicycle until it is returned to the docking station and the user has received a receipt via the app. The private user or the company is therefore responsible for, for example (non-exhaustive) theft, loss, injury, or damage that occurs from the time the bicycle is collected from a docking station until the user has received a receipt for the bicycle’s return in the app.
4.8 The user is obliged to make a police report and inform the provider’s customer support function in the event of theft or loss of a rental bicycle during the time the rental bicycle is removed from docking station. If the theft is caused by the user's negligence, the user may be liable for the remuneration of the full value of the rental bicycle.
4.9 In the event of damage to a rental bicycle occurring while a rental bicycle is being used, the user may be responsible and liable for reasonable repair costs incurred by the provider.
4.10 The user is responsible for ensuring that the rental bicycle is correctly locked upon its return to a docking station. If a rental bicycle is not correctly locked, the user may be held liable in the event of it going missing. If it is not possible to lock a rental bicycle at a docking station, the user should make their way to an alternative charging point. If it is still not possible to correctly lock the rental bicycle, the user must always contact the provider’s customer support service or take care of the bicycle until customer support is notified.
- Responsibilities of the Provider
5.1 The provider makes all necessary efforts to ensure that the rental bicycles are maintained and repaired regularly, and that the rental bicycles are available at docking stations. Updates or technical complications may, however, result in temporary disruptions to the service. The provider reserves the right to change or cancel functions in the service at any time. The provider is not, in relation to the user, responsible for disruption, changes, or termination of the service. The service is provided in its “existing condition” without any commitments or guarantees regarding the condition of the service.
- Prices and terms of payment
Prices for subscriptions and hourly rates are stated in the current price list which is available on linbike.se
6.1 Private subscription: payment is made by registering a payment card in the app. Private subscriptions are payable in advance. Payment of hourly charges is made after each return of the rental bicycle at the docking station. Private users receive a digital receipt for the cost in the app or via email. The user is responsible for ensuring that there are sufficient funds in the account when the private subscription and hourly charges are payable. If sufficient funds are unavailable, the user will be sent a reminder about the outstanding charge. In the event of non-payment, the provider reserves the right to terminate the private account and immediately block the private user from continuing to use the service.
6.2 Business subscription: Payment is made via invoice to the holder of the business subscription. Payment terms are 30 days from the date of the invoice. In the event that more business users register for the service than according to the agreed business account, the provider will invoice the holder of the business account for these additional users.
- Personal data and communication
7.1 The provider processes personal data in accordance with its personal data policy. For details, please see the provider’s website. By accepting the general terms and conditions, the user also accepts the provider’s processing of personal data in accordance with the personal data policy.
7.2 In the event of a change in the user’s name, mobile number, email address or, where applicable, for private users’ payment card information, the user shall immediately update “My Profile” in the provider's app. The user is solely responsible for this update.
7.3 A company with a business account must immediately notify the provider of a change of designated contact person and/or invoice address via email to info@linbike.se.
7.4 Information from the provider may be communicated via the provider’s website linbike.se and through the app, as well as via email, telephone, SMS, and social media.
- Contract amendments
8.1 The provider has the right to change the general terms and conditions and the price list for the fixed subscription fee and hourly rates during the contract period. In the event of any such changes, the provider shall, no later than one (1) month for private users and two (2) months for companies and business users, prior to the change taking effect notify the user or the company via the app or email.
- Insurance
Insurance is taken out automatically at the point of rental, However, there are different types of insurance that apply https://linbike.se/fragor-och-svar/.

- Disputes
10.1 General conditions will be applied and interpreted in accordance with Swedish law. Any disputes regarding the origin and application of the general terms and conditions and of said subscriptions as well as regarding the use of the service shall be referred to a relevant district court in Sweden.
- The provider’s personal data policy
To assist our customers with simpler and more secure bicycle rental and to facilitate the use of mobility solutions, Sankt Kors Fastighets AB and its subsidiary Dukaten Parking Service AB need to process certain personal data. We will protect your privacy and always strive to guard your information in the best possible way in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other data protection laws that apply at the time of their processing.
The processing of personal data takes place for purposes that are necessary for the business, such as registration in LinBike.
When you rent a bicycle that Dukaten Parkeringsservice AB operates, Dukaten Parkeringsservice AB may collect information about your name, contact information, and time and place of when you return the bicycle. This is done to provide you with a rental bicycle system and otherwise to offer our services to you.
Access to your personal data is limited to employees of Dukaten Parkeringsservice AB who need to process your personal data. Your personal information may also be transferred to our service providers who operate our IT systems or assist us with invoicing, payments, or operation of parking systems. Dukaten Parkeringsservice AB always ensures that these transfers occur securely and in accordance with applicable data protection legislation. Our suppliers do not have the right to use your personal data for any purpose other than to fulfil their obligations to us.
Dukaten Parkeringsservice AB will store your personal information for as long as this information is needed for the purpose for which it was collected. This means, for example, that we process your information for as long as necessary to manage payments.

Your rights:
As a customer, supplier, or stakeholder of Sankt Kors, you have the right to:
- request information about the personal information Sankt Kors and Dukaten store about you and an extract of that personal information
- request information about how Sankt Kors and Dukaten collect, process, store, pass on and protect your personal data as well as the purpose and legal basis for its collection
- request rectification or deletion of your personal data (unless there is a statutory requirement for storage of the personal data, such as accounting rules, or other legitimate reason for storage)
