Coupons

Coupons are promotions that offer one or multiple free rides. 

To add a Coupon you have to navigate to the user menu in the Big Issue Ebikes app, where you will find a menu item called Coupons and referrals.

You can add only one coupon at the time. To input the Coupon code, you can use the keyboard, or a scanner (if the coupon code is in the form of QR code). After inputting the numbers/letters, you have to tap on “submit coupon” button.

When you submit a coupon, it will become visible on the screen as active, and it will be applied for the next ride (or the next few rides if it is a multiple free ride coupon)

If you have an active Coupon, it will be applied when you finish the rent and added to the final calculation of the payment. Coupon will be marked on the invoice. 

Coupons for free rides have limited time (eg. 30 min), if you ride for more than that, standard fees will apply. 

When the coupon is used, it will be crossed with a “used” tag in the app.  You can see the list of the used coupons by taping "Show used coupons"

If you have a subscription, a coupon will give you free rides, but you will still have to pay for the monthly subscription.

If you have multiple coupons, and you have already applied one in the app, you can delete the active coupon by swiping it left. After that you will be able to add another one. You can also override the active coupon by adding a new one.

If you delete the active coupon or if you override it, this coupon will be considered as used, and can not be reapplied.

Coupons do not add on top of each other, you can only have one active coupon in the app. 

Referrals

Referrals are codes that our agents use, so we can identify the users that the agents bring in. Our agents are coming from difficult backgrounds, and they get a portion of every subscription that their users create. By creating a subscription you are helping the people in need, and #BikingForGood. 

To add a referral you have to navigate to the user menu in the Big Issue Ebikes app, where you will find a menu item called Coupons and referrals.

You can add one referral only. To input the referral code, You can use the keyboard, or a scanner (if the referral code is in the form of QR code). After inputting the numbers/letters, you have to tap on “submit referral” button.

Referral code will than be visible on the bottom of the Coupon and Referrals page.

Referral code cannot be changed by a user, it can only be deleted by an Admin.
